October 21st Annual Global Health and Peace Concert
Greater Boston Physicians for Social Responsibility (GBPSR) and International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War (IPPNW) are pleased to host our sixth annual Global Health and Peace Concert to address the twin existential threats of nuclear war and climate change.
Our special event will be in-person this year at Harvard Medical School’s Countway Library from 6:00-8:00pm on Saturday, October 21st, 2023. Following a few years of virtual gatherings, we are thrilled to provide a reception with our customary food, drinks and music.
Our Honorees are Senators Elizabeth Warren and Ed Markey, who have been supporters of our work and the issues for many years.
Our event planning is taking place as the risk of humanitarian catastrophe in Ukraine increases by the day, along with the alarmingly acute danger of nuclear escalation. Indeed, the risk that nuclear weapons will be used, whether in anger or by accident or miscalculation, is greater now than at any time since the Cuban missile crisis.
More details about tickets and sponsorship will be posted on this website as soon as they are available.
