Vijai Bhola, MD is trained in Infectious Diseases, Critical Care and Disaster Medicine. Born and raised in Trinidad, he brings a different perspective to global issues and has worked in Poland during the Ukraine crisis, and in Puerto Rico following Hurricane Maria. He is also Co-Chair and co-founder of the Infectious Diseases Interest Group at the World Association for Disaster and Emergency Medicine. Having been inspired by PSR’s focus on the existential threat to humanity posed by climate change and the nuclear threat, he is honored to join the board of Greater Boston PSR. He believes in the human potential to find the solutions to big picture challenges, and in the unique capacity for physician advocacy.
