Richard Clapp, DSc, MPH
Richard Clapp has an MPH degree from Harvard School of Public Health and a doctoral degree from Boston University School of Public Health. He worked at city and state health departments in New York and Massachusetts. He joined the B.U. School of Public Health as a full-time Faculty member in the Department of Environmental Health in 1993, where he is now Professor Emeritus. He is also on the Adjunct Faculty at the Lowell Center for Sustainable Production at U. of Massachusetts – Lowell.
Dr. Clapp has done research and taught courses in epidemiology and environmental health for over thirty years, and has lectured and spoken at public meetings on the impacts of climate change and public health. He is a member of several professional organizations and served on the editorial board of two environmental health journals.
