Eliana DaCunha

Eliana DaCunha is a medical student at Harvard Medical School with a strong passion for global health, health policy, and social medicine. She earned dual undergraduate degrees in Biology (B.S.) and Global Health (B.A.) from Providence College, where she attended on a full-ride scholarship. After graduation, she spent two years as a research assistant at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, contributing to socio-behavioral research focused on improving healthcare for underserved populations in South Africa. During this time, she also served as a Next Generation Climate and Health Ambassador for Physicians for Social Responsibility (PSR) and founded the Massachusetts Climate and Health Advocacy Day–an initiative for which she was awarded the Global Health and Peace Award by Greater Boston PSR. She continues to organize the event annually and is committed to empowering medical professionals and students to engage in health advocacy.
