Becca Phillips, MPH
Becca joined GBPSR in 2023 and is excited to bring her eclectic background in grassroots climate activism, clinical work, and health-related experience to GBPSR. Becca previously worked with PSR National as their Climate & Health Fellow, designing and successfully running a new Climate & Health Ambassador program for young and emerging health professionals. Prior to this, she interned at the Greater Boston chapter of PSR, where she co-authored a policy paper about improving the built environment in Boston to reduce the health impacts of exposure to indoor heat. As an organizer at Extinction Rebellion Boston, she captained a successful movement to legally declare a climate and ecological emergency in her hometown of Needham, Massachusetts. Outside of climate and health work, Becca is a practicing massage therapist and enjoys conscious community organizing, cooking healthy vegetarian food, fiddling, and staying active. Becca received her Masters degree in public health from Claremont Graduate University and bachelors degree in psychology and social anthropology at the University of St Andrews in Scotland. She is passionate about empowering individuals and communities to mobilize in the fight for climate and environmental justice and live healthier lifestyles that align with restorative environmental practices.
